@04dcarraher: Great recommendation on the GPU. The Motherboard though only had 2 slots for RAM. I want to try to use all 4 sticks for the 8GB. the big pieces I'm missing is are the motherboard, PSU and GPU. I forgot to mention I have a 1TB HDD.

@thehig1: For performance, I'm looking for something that can handle modern games at medium to high settings. Don't really need to hit the Ultra high. She is 10 so she's not really doing anything hardcore now. But I would like options that are upgradable.

I plan on building gaming PC for my daughter and I am using parts I gutted from other desktops (all parts are working).

Here's what I have so far:

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600 Quad-Core Processor 3.4 GHz 8 MB Cache LGA 1155

RAM: 8GB (4 x 2GB) DDR3 1333

ATX Mid-Tower

Optical drive: SATA DVD RW+/- burner

I want to keep the cost as low as possible while getting the most bang for my buck. I know what parts I'm missing but I'm looking for recommendations or pro-tips for PC DIYselfers to complete this project.

A plane ticket back home, then a road trip with the family to visit more family.

Multiculturalism or monoculturalism can work and can fail. Japan had closed borders for thousands of years and warred with themselves. China, Tiananmen Square, people from a same culture disagreed with their government and were slaughtered. Everything has the potential to fail, so why bother with any of it.

US's recent behavior proves that multiculturalism does not work? I look at the big picture. As time marches on, from its's birth, the US has become more integrated and has pushed for greater equality for all of it's citizens. It is not perfect, but we have devoted citizens dedicated to see a change in that direction. As for Liberal and Conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, to me this has more to do with politics. They represent more the wants of the people, rather than their cultural beliefs. Both sides currently have people from every culture. But when they came to be, they both were filled with white men and they still fought with each other.

The US wasn't built to be multicultural. They slaughtered the natives, blacks were property, Chinese were a cheap labor force to build their railroads, white women were second class citizens. But as time moved forward, each of those wounds have been tended to through the blood and sacrifice of those that would see us be great.

As for Mike Brown; this current situation does not prove that a multicultural society fails, it just shows that some wounds have yet to heal in the US and that we still have lingering issues that need to be resolved.

The USA is one of the youngest countries in the world and it's multiculturalism is even younger still. Regardless of that, they have still managed to become the most powerful country in the world. That doesn't seem like a receipt for failure to me.

Make sure you leave a Will telling your loved ones where you want your trampled body buried. Black Friday is like a battle so Arlington may be an option.

@elkoldo: "I don't go through a lot of stress (I'm a cold-blooded asshole :D ) but somedays, mostly those days that I go to the goddamn university, I go through severe depression. So I could point the finger at depression...."

After Afghanistan, I had issues with sleep. I get the cold-blood nature so I think it's good that you are going to see a therapist. Pills may just cover up the issues but not really deal with them. I had repressed issues that I didn't want to deal with, so I tried to forget them. I talked about the issues with the therapist and used some of the techniques that he told me to try before sleep. It took several weeks but I was able to sleep through the night. Several months later I was able to move on somewhat completely (somethings you just have to learn to live with).

But big kudos to you for facing your issues and trying to fix them. Not too many are that bold
