yes i feel the blade is op too  im confused if its really the best sword stat wise... the funny thing is its not even mention in the strategy guide at all. but it is the most expensive weapon so im just going to assume that it is.

METALGEARNICK

It one-hit kills every enemy in the game except bosses, I'd say it's the best sword.

Yeah with the second Fox upgrade it's insanely overpowered...but that's what makes it so fun to use.

Took me around 8 hours, but I understand that's pretty long compared to most people's playtimes.

Yeah you can dodge they just decided not to tell you for some reason? It's actually pretty useful against groups.

to be honest i think they too many fps this generation, quit frankly i love 3rd persons better and also a big fan of hack and slash e.g good of war.i just think revengence is focusing on combat and action more than any thing else.and for a game set in the future too many enemies wield swords.

Yeah, I thought the same about the swords, but considering you can cut missles out of the air and block bullets, it seems like guns aren't the most useful things around anymore.

Despite describing yourself as so principaled and intelligent, it sounds like you don't know the first thing about this game.  And you are the one letting yourself be influenced by marketing.

Who CARES if they used the BioShock name???  Irrational Games created BioShock.  I think they know more than you do about what makes BioShock BioShock.  Just look at the Final Fantasy series.  Those stories jump all over the place with only basic similarities.  I see this as the same thing.

Where you really lose all credibility is your flippant remarks about this being a "half engineered" game.  Watch a video and tell me how "little" work they've put in.  Irrational Games has been working on this game for over five years.  That's a huge investment.  The PC version is so big it comes on THREE discs!  When was the last time you saw that?

I don't know if the story will be as strong as BioShock, but the world they've created looks incredibly detailed and alive from the trailers.  And they are taking a big risk by creating a game that deals with religion and politics in a late Victorian setting.  None of those strike me as "easy cash-in".

Instead of fixating on how upset you are for them using the BioShock name, why not learn a little about a game before you start making such uninformed and ridiculous statements.  Then, people might take you seriously.

Thank goodness someone saved me the effort of having to type something like this out. I'll just say I agree with what this guy says

Doubt it. Not very many games have one and this game is pretty hyper-violent so I wouldn't bet on it.

[QUOTE="scaperat1"]

I love the demo. I played through it several times on normal and learned new moves every time. I don't know why people are having such a hard time trying to parry. It's not difficult at all. And the wolf boss is a straight-up punk. He seemed to be running away from me, but couldn't get away until he leaped onto the roof lol. The game takes time to get used to, but once you figure out what to do, it's a breeze. It's too bad I couldn't play the demo on hard. I don't understand why they're adding a easy assist mode. Is it really that hard to parry?

Goron24

I think most people are upset that there is no Block, dodge or parry button. Personally I don't find parrying difficult but it really is annoying not to have a block or dodge button dedicated to this when its practically genre staple. Raiden just isn't as nimble as he should be as well (jumps pretty shallow for a cyborg with augmented legs). Not to mention the controls for Cut mode are god aweful, I feel like im fighting the indicator when im lining up a cut

There is a dodge, they just don't tell you how to do it for some reason. X + square (or A + Y on 360) while pushing in a direction let's you dodge. It's more useful than parrry for a group of enemies, but I like parrying better when only focusing on one enemy.

Well there's not much to argue or debate about here, in fact I'm not entirely sure what you're saying. You're saying you just don't like the Samuri theme? Well, there's not much I can tell you, buddy. That's just kind of...the way it is.

I'll buy it out of loyalty to the franchise, but definitely not a full price game for me.
