The fellows over at that site are also trying to get Julian Assange nominated as Time magazine's person of the year on top of the DDoS attacks, for what it's worth. He's actually winning too... Well, at least he's a more credible person of the year than moot was.
For kind of Avantgarde-ish Black Metal, I feel like Arcturus is grossly underrated. For me, they're what Ulver should have been after Nattens Madrigal.
Depends on the band obviously, but yeah, I luuuurv prog rock and other prog influenced stuff. King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Opeth, Tool, Between the Buried and Me, Ihsahn, Radiohead, Kate Bush... Cool stuff. On the other hand, the genre can be a bit overbearing at times. I'm not so crazy about bands like Dream Theater, Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Porcupine Tree.
