@dexda One i played recently was Home Is Where One Starts ,quite liked that ,though it was a short game.

I suppose you have to be in the right frame of mind to play similar games , i enjoy them late at night when i'm a bit chilled.

@neowarrior793: Mabe it's all Unitys fault ,they've made too easy for crap games to be made and released .

Most of the "bad" ones i've seen recently are made with that engine ,game devs put everything into the game world and have no idea how to expand on it in a original way.

@Thanatos2k: It's not so much the "open game world" but as you say the lack of anything interesting or fun going on and usually god awful controls .

It just leaves you feeling "what a waste" ,a great game world squanderd..

I have a feeling a lot of the time it's down to "pressure from above" and not giving game designers enough time to expand on ideas.

Or maybe it's just a glut of crap game makers ,who knows:)

@dexda: we now have "walking sims" where some devs have created quite good game worlds but bugger all to do in them apart from maybe reading some notes and swtiching on yer flashlight at some point.

Unity games ,i'm talking bout you!

The whole feel of this game, (though ok) reminds me of console games for kiddies.
