I actually think it doesn't matter. You will know around half-way through a game if it sucks or not: if the gameplay is bad or the story isn't picking up. Just because the final boss fight might be super awesome doesn't warrant a great change in the score. We don't want to pay for games when the most part of it sucks.

If you can't understand why people hype the graphics than you're ignorant. Simple as that. It's not all TEH FOLIAGE AND TEXTUHRES!!11 that can make a game look good.

Also, just read something about the 4 maps just being the 4 best missions from the SP-campaign made into co-op for Black Ops.

I'm pretty sure Nazi Zombies are back with new maps. Just that people that buy the hardened/prestige will get the 4 old maps too, free.

GW1 also had things that changed the world. When Ascalon was destroyed and a certain Prince was killed the world changed for you, but it was scripted. Same with the Death Knight starting area in WoW.

If they just expand on this idea like they're saying they are it will be effing awesome. Also those Dynamic Events sounds intriguing.
