I haven't played Bioshock Infinite, so I can't comment on his review one way or the other. However, it's worth mentioning that Tom McShea doesn't assign the scores to his reviews. He's stated a few times that the other reviewers read his review and then determine the score from that. Make of this what you will.

why did Nintendo steal the dual stick set-up from Sony? Why MS copied the Eyetoy? Why Nintendo used DVD on the Wii, a format created by Sony? Didn't Sony came up with the R3 and L3 buttons which every traditional controller has nowadays? And what about the 4 shoulder buttons?

These are all ideas that came from Sony that have stood the test of time better than most of the sh*tty innovations Nintendo has come up with beside the Rumble. Because even the analog sticks existed way before they implemented it on the N64.
