I originally didn't like the MP but as I played it a bit more it got really addicting.
I don't believe it has anything to do with Bandwidth. I believe that it is the most recent update that is the issue. Why? If it was the bandwidth that was the issue then you would get disconnected from making a match of your own just as much.
Well, If you want more content and originality, pick Bully, like I did.
GTA:SA was good but Bully brings something new to the table. Even after beating it, you are still finding new things to do. Plus the the controls are solid, the story is sweet (awsome voice acting too) and the graphics are nice and detailed for a free-roam. GTA is GTA so try something new. GTA will be there still. Bully won't be having a sequal so play it while you can.
Like 2/3 of the people have said, the Fatal Frame series. Although the thought of ghosts being scary is cliche but it totally works in this game.
I have played Manhunt (not scary, just fun), RE series (They have scares that make you jump and that's it) but the next best thing is the Silent Hill series. Silent Hill not only is desturbing but also makes you wise you didn't have to enter the next room as you don't want to see what is in it.
Make sure to play the Silent Hill AND Fatal Frame series for some really good scares.
COD 3 almost throws Achievements in your face. I played through the Campaign and got every single player Achievement except one (Grizzled Veteran, Beat it on Veteran diff.). Seriously. That game is a rent, suck it dry, then toss it away game. It's a whore in other words.
Gears of War is just pure fun so you just unlock them as you go. Plus none of them require you to do rediculous things to get achievements. They just come as you play.
