@cvanderson983 Why not just keep your current console as well? I admit, I don't understand why anyone would dump the old as soon as a new comes out. I have a PSOne, PS2, and a PS3. It isn't like they can't run on the same TV - PSOne/PS2 is extra nice as they can even share cables. :-)
And I have good sized libraries of games for the two older ones - certainly not going to just throw them away or sell them because I have a new system. I like to replay them whenever I want. The only ones I sold off were FF X, X-2, and KH 1 & 2 because of the PS3 remixes that added new content, making them worth the double dip.
@ishsgames Probably not what you'd consider modern, anyway :-) I just got the PS3 this year, so FF XIII is the only title I've played on it. I still play my PS2 and PSOne as well, even the Wii now and then. :-) PS4 I'll probably get around the time the PS5 comes out. I am looking forward to seeing if I notice any visual difference between the FFX/X-2 and Kingdom Hearts remixes on PS3 vs their PS2 versions. I
I don't do any PC gaming beyond some older titles (Civ and Age of Empires) and HOA games.
My inner geek must remained jailed, as my inner budget and paying off debts and the mortgage comes first ;-) And it also answers to the rest of me that doesn't see the difference so doesn't get super excited and can still enjoy old stuff too :-)

As far as I know, I've never played anything at either, unless a lot of PS2 games did? Or FF XIII which is the only PS3 game I've played so far. And if they were, I never noticed. and I've enjoyed the games. Then again, I still have some PS1 and PS2 games that I think are gorgeous and that I love to replay and I also don't see any visual difference between Blu-ray and DVD :-)
I never really pay any attention to resolution or game rate. As Ubisoft said, as long as the game looks good with clean, smooth graphics, I don't really care what the actual numbers are.

Not sure what kind of independence the franchises have on doing their own events.
It's a stupid thing for sure. I'd be tempted to round up a bunch a kids, give them $1 water guns, and hit every one of the turn ins. Usual bill for a cone and B&J is what, $2-4 now?
@foxbat_prime Ben & Jerry's the company is not. The county itself is purchasing the ice cream from one of the local shops. They can't dictate what their customers what they can do with the ice cream after it's purchased - and the county could just buy it in a grocery store. So Ben & Jerry's is not "taking part" - it's just a popular brand the county decided to go with because "recognition".
I'd like to see some older favorites be done, like Legend of Dragoon! Don't just dip back to PS3, go to PSOne and PS2, the systems that are far more aged at this point. Very unlikely at this point, but FF VII & VIII would be pretty cool. Parasite Eve would be pretty sweet in HD too.
Not Sony properties, but would also love to see Lunar/Lunar 2 and the Shadow Hearts series remastered for current gen.
