@Dangerous231 I still use my PS1. Not sure you realise how finite the servers will be.

In 10 years time this could all be a dead format. not just inconvenient to find a working console but a dead format!!

@Dangerous231 @Double-Ego @u1tradt you are correct but that license is yours. If in 5 years when you dust it off you can still play offline.

So now Microsoft not only want to limit you to your license but give it an expiry date to?

@Dangerous231 @H4num4n @u1tradt my brother live in the sticks, no broadband and poor cell coverage. Hows he going to play?

In Australia/Canada they have limited allowances.. Developing countries?

Yes always on-line is cool. What if you can't afford broadband are you too poor to play?

That's a little elitist. will Microsoft offer free broadband to?

@Grenadeh @u1tradt unfortunately as a 40yr old gamer with a family.. I think lots of older gamers will not at this stage. As the average age of a video gamer is now 37..

Wives and family commitments you know.

@icestorm88 I agree with Microsoft as most of the exclusives were timed only. Such as map packs.. Sony on the other hand still have a few exclusive studios.

@Spartan_418 @emgesp Not as fact but you'd be stupid to keep your money in the bank if the rumours were it was failing. Same here, keep open minded by all means but don't be blind.

@Spartan_418 @lokizarro wishful thinking, the reason for the delays is the storm they stirred up has back fired.

They're waiting to see how to polish what they've laid.

I'll remain open minded but PS4 wasn't far from the rumours and I don't think the xbox will be either.

sound reasonable for a media streaming device... but as a gaming console. I'm OUT.

If Microsoft want an on line video and netflix subscription machine then.

thanks but no thanks.

Microsoft are stumbling after the failed Zune (lost to apple), Surface (android and apple), Nextbox (to PS4 - for now). Recent Window 8 failings..

Microsoft steamrollered a faulty 360 into the market and they bought it in droves.. Do they have the finances for another shovelled console seeing that they will both be PC based.

I think Microsoft can not afford a poor media player (with after thought gaming), and are re-designing after the Sony announcement.
