Ok so i posted the other day about a supposedly sweet deal i found but found out it was crap on here. So i am going to tread the pc builders path. Someone already gave me a build-
NZXT TEMPEST EVO Computer Case $109.99
MSI R6950 Twin Frozr II Radeon HD 6950 2GB $279.99
SILVERSTONE ST75F-P 750W Power Supply $129.99
Kingston HyperX Grey Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) Model KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX $59.99
ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 $189.99
Intel Core i5-2500K $214.99
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM $99.99
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus $25.99

Total: 1110.92

But my budget is under or just over $1000K us dollars so it went a little over. Also i see all these different brands of ram and videocards at different prices. Does it REALLY matter what brand you get? Also I'm not neccesarily a hardcore gamer i just want to be able to play my steam games like Dragon Age: origions at max and play current games.

[QUOTE="Clydefrog92"]Yeah this was just a preview build. That's all the specs they gave us. If I i did want to build one or ask them to build me one what would be a good build just for maximum gaming? i'm a noob. Also i don't need the blu-ray drive they just added that. thanks C_Rule

EDIT: I left out a hard drive, due to the current fiasco in Thailand. When things get back to normal, a good HDD (such as the Spinpoint F3 1TB) is ~$60.

Cool thanks! I'll probably get the parts cheaper too.

So my dad has business access to tigerdirect because he buys from them alot and so i'm getting a gaming pc from them. they sent us specs for a pc..

CybertronPC Fortress TGM2111C Desktop PC-Intel Core i7-2600k 3.40GHZ, 16GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, Blu-ray ROM, NVidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti, LCD Touch Fan control, Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit

all for $1,311.11 US

I know its a hell of a deal but isn't the ram freaking overkill? Maybe I could drop the ram, drop windows 7(already have proffesional install) get a better graphics card? Halp!
