Mario U isn't a good example of the gamepads full features but, neither is having the exact same controller for 20 years in a row ( sony ), or in xbox's case only making slight design changes.

 The most important aspect of gaming is the gameplay no ? The graphics on the PS4 & PC atm are mindblowing and are leagues ahead of the Wii U. But when it comes down to it, Nintendo have allways been on top in terms of gameplay innovation and the Wii U is just another stride in their path of success. It plays very differently to the other consoles and when we get more games that utilize the gamepad even further just like how the DS got games like TWEWY and Hotel Dusk then The Wii U will truely be the victor of the gen.
