Whenever I play an FPS on single player like F.E.A.R. I'm like a perfectionist.

If I get hit one time, I quick load my last quick save and start over because for some reason I want my game to be perfect.

Same with my AMMO status, I pretty much save up all my ammo till its max and then use the gun only when I know that theres enough up ahead in the level to bring my back to the max amount of ammo.

So anyways, I do have this bizarre habit whenever I play Single Player fps'... Is anyone else like this ?

Play it like if it was real life. Thats kinda the point. You're not playing them to their full potential. Decisions good and bad make it much more interesting.

Playing like that could also a sign of a minor psychological disorder.. step on cracks much?

Control freak / anally retentive.

Do as little saves. I prefer checkpoint based games because of this.
