Underground hip-hop and some great rock bands. I've been listening to stuff from Typecast, Sunny Day Real Estate, and The Promise Ring lately.

It's either you got an old system. a non-BenQ disc drive, or both. Either way, you're one unlucky mofo.

No need for extra cooling if you're planning on getting a falcon xbox 360. Another thing you should be worried about is the disc drive. You'll need to go to your local stores (yes, I said stores) and write down the sticker info on every xbox 360 you see over there. Then head back home and log in on 360drives.com and input the info on the filter bars. That way, you can test the probability of getting a Hitachi-LG drive and a falcon 360. God, why didn't Microsoft drop that crappy drive brand? I thought Lite-On has the exclusive rights to produce the disc drives used on 360s?

[QUOTE="MayorJohnny"][QUOTE="brianpoetzel"]

[QUOTE="theweakbear"]What does it do is it a falcon but even better? Awww man I don't want to have to wait for that to come out...brianpoetzel

It's pretty much the sum of all the improvments made. The falcon has a 65nm cpu but still a 90nm gpu. The jasper is going to be a 65/65 unit. So, yeah, i guess you could say that it's a falcon with a smaller die gpu. It should help a lot with keeping things cool too.

So much better should the Jasper model be?

I'm going to buy an Xbox 360 soon. Will the Falcon model be okay?

From what I can tell, the falcon has fixed all the major issues like rrod. So, there's really no need to wait for the jasper if that's what you're worried about.

Actually, most falcon models purchased since its introduction haven't been used for 7 or more months so we still can't tell if RROD has been completely eradicated. And there's still the issue with the DVD drives. Microsoft should stick to slapping BenQ drives to all their current and future productions since it won't scratch your discs and run like there's a hummingbird stuck inside your console.

Too late? **** no! 3 reasonably-priced SKUs, a plethora of great games (especially good platinum hits that you've probably missed), and a new hardware design that hasn't received reports of RROD yet (I think). This is the best time to purchase an Xbox 360. Ever since word got out on the Falcon hardware revision people have been scooping the console up and with the introduction of the Xbox 360 Arcade expect more people to get interested.

............OK. Now that statement looks like something quoted out of a Microsoft PR handbook :lol: But seriously dude, now is the best time to get an xbox 360. This way you can still find and enjoy the old games and have a system that'll probably last you until the end of this gaming generation.

Why would the 360 have faster gameplay with a Harddrive???

Doesn t seem logic to me.

claudiovalenti

Some games like Oblivion will use the hard drive as a temporary cache, hence faster loading times.
