Sony and Nintendo don't charge for online because they have an inferior product.

The only thing that I would use this for is authenticating in hotels that use web browser authentication for WiFi.

I loaded world of warcraft on vista and got half the frame rate that I had with the same computer under XP, but that could be the video driver (I used that beta vista driver from Nvidia).
