WoW FTW, I'm heading back to the land of Azeroth myself. I can't wait to hit lvl 80 and continue to smash face in PvP. The OP is right, in terms of gameplay, content, support, the amount of players, skills etc. WoW is simply unrivaled.

Nothing to get over because I don't really care. As far as I'm concerned Gears 2 can stay on consoles.

Gears 2 not coming to PC? Don't care, its not like I'm missing anything special. I'm sure most PC gamers feel the same. Its probably best it doesn't come to PC anyway, so Cliffy can't complain how bad it sold or how low the reviews were.

Japan lost its edge because developers who originally made games on for PC made their way to consoles, since the hardware is very similar to PC. Before that, when consoles were vastly different than the PC platform. I always considered PC to be western dev dominate and consoles to be Japanese dev dominate. Now that has changed so much, consoles in terms of how the hardware works isn't much different than a medium end PC.

I think Japan needs to adopt some western features, mainly online imo. Its very important these days, many people have a broadband connection and have the ability to play games online. Yet, Japan continues to negate this and stay in the days where console gamers couldn't play online. I think the bottom line is, Japan developers are working as if consoles are still consoles when in fact consoles have became PCs.

The early life of a console determines how much of a success it will be down the road. As history shows a console doesn't suddenly become a phenomenal years into its life time. That usually happens at launch. With the PS3, it had a terrible start then a terrible following year, then another terrible following year. It just isn't doing well, even though people don't like to admit that. The only thing that keeps it up is the fact that its named *Playstation* if it hadn't it would of been pulled from the shelves long ago. I don't consider its a super flop, in terms of hardware its nice. But in terms of support there is no need to have one when the 360 is superior in every way. And no I don't own a 360 or a PS3, before fan boys jump in. I'm just stating the facts. In order for the PS3 to had lived up to the legacy as the PS1 and PS2 it would of needed to have a identical launch as them and the 2 years into its life cycle would have to be similar.

Its Square-Enix, so I'm not suprised. They have been throwing out garbage since the PS2 days. The best games Square and Enix ever made are on PS1 and Snes. They need to go back to their roots or at least try.

I think these guys know the PC market very very well and are playing this card to save low sales. Lets face it, from what we have seen and read this game isn't very good. PC gamers, especially those with good rigs will not spend money on trash like this game. They know this, we know this. The only PC gamers that may have bought it are the ones with hardware not capable of running it in the unoptimized state they'd no boubt release it in.

Console gamers however seem to buy any old garbage, just stick a few tv ads in and hey, you got a no1 selling game. This just doesn't work on PC, we have standards and usually go on what the community says rather than being dazzled by marketing.

Frozzik

This is true, I know I wouldn't of brought the game. I don't ever buy lucas arts games on my PC.
