@Morphine_OD If it's anything like the original in terms of scare value, then yeah it'll be better than Outlast which IS scary so far but a bit more base/violent. Though I will say, Amnesia doesn't have recycled enemies? Despite the original having approximately 3 enemies, and Justine having 3 that all look the same but speak differently? :P Just sayin'. Though it used them less than Outlast seems too...

@welshboy98 Excuse me? Does subjectivity not exist in your world? 8.0 is a very good score, and there was nothing wrong with what Tom Mc Shea felt about the game. It's a little thing called "Opinion." IGN and Eurogamer gave it a 10 because, most likely, they just happened to like it a tiny bit more. That doesn't mean this is "The Worst Review Ever." If anything, if everyone just gave out 10s because IGN and Eurogamer gave it a 10, THAT would qualify it for being a bad review because it failed to do what a review should: Express the reviewers personal, subjective (Please look that word up.) opinion (And that one too.) while speaking about the pros and cons they found in what they are reviewing. But when a review is just "OMG IGN and Eurogamer gave it a 10, this game is so mind blowing we have to give it a 10 because any score lower is unprofessional!" then it can be a candidate for worst review ever, for simply stepping in line and following what others say. The only other way it could be a candidate for "Worst review ever" is if it was entirely biased towards hating it or loving it and reviewed by someone unqualified (I.E. Someone who dislikes this type of game.) to give an opinion who just pour hate or pour love with no recognition of any potential flaws or actually discussing mechanics, etc.

@Thumbler76 Wait, really? I thought that was Starbreeze... I'm guessing the key developers for those games founded Machinegames? That makes me happy to hear though, when I heard this was a new studio I had some reservations but indeed they are talented and they have a love for the brutal, so that's already a good point. I just hope that ID TECH 5 works a little better here than it did in Rage, as a PC gamer.

I know that Wolfenstein 2009 was just "OK" at best, but I'm still excited to see a new Wolfenstein - even if it ends up just being OK like the last one (Though I hope it is better) because I am always game for an FPS that doesn't take itself so goddamn seriously. Weird Science + Nazis + The 60s + Alternate Timelines FTW! It'll be good to finally shoot someone other than just Russians again in a pointlessly super serious game *sigh* (The one exception for me these days, the Metro series.. At least you are a Russian in that game. And it has some non-real world aspects and as horror it deserves to be serious..)

@Vul0 Oh, its possible. They just need to find developers that give a damn, and they should stop caring about tying the games directly with the movies story and release dates. Let developers with good minds have time to develop a good story and game built around the universe. I really think maybe after Batman Arkham Origins comes out, Rocksteady should try their hand with another super-hero. Considering they managed to make two Batman games that broke the series' streak of crap (Though Batman has had more good games than a lot of superheroes... I think he and Spider-Man have got it the luckiest.) and were not just amazing for a licensed game but good enough to be a AAA contender means Rocksteady could do justice to more Super heroes, including perhaps Iron Man.

It honestly kind of surprises me that a lot of companies just half-ass superhero games, you'd think that Superheroes are like... the perfect thing for a video game, be they licensed or original ones. They should go together like bread and butter, and they at least do when the developers give a rats arse.

@ptrpedrohung I've seen them give out lower scores. In fact back in the day, there were games that got scores in the One-sies. If you want to see the games they've scored lowest, go to the review list, then click on Browse Reviews and then click on the "Score" column, the first time it'll list their highest reviewed games of all time. Click it again, and you'll see their lowest scores. If you only care about more modern games, you can select specific consoles and do the same thing.

"The thing about Star Trek is that it has never been about the action."

True that. I'm far from a Trekkie, but I do like Star Trek; particularly TNG due to my rose tinted glasses as I remember always waking up excited to watch it with my mum, who IS a Trekkie. I don't mind the Abrams movie(s) but I was saddened as soon as I saw this was just another shooter. I really want a modern Star Trek game that *IS* like Star Trek, yeah there should be action in it but it shouldn't be the focus. In fact, here's a proposition: give the Star Trek license to Bethesda Softworks or someone like them, and make an open world (Open universe?) sandbox RPG with player centric character development where you can explore space, have encounters, find planets and have space adventures. Y'know, like something that resembles Star Trek. I KNOW this can be done in talented hands, I KNOW it. Anyone agree?

I'm deffo glad I skipped this one.
