Youtube channels like Angry Joe live largely outside of this collaborative mindset and simply unload copyright content in exchange for money, without any sort of permission or direct benefit for the license holder for using it for free.

Except they do live inside that collaborative mindset, or they would be closed down for content ID Hits. Most companies have guide lines on how to monetized, One example is with Rockstar you need to have a full commentary (not just showing the cutscenes and turn off the in game radio. With Mojang, They even said it is free advertising for them.

Given how American media has been demonizing Russia for nearly 2 decades,I can't say I'm surprised.

Yea, has nothing to do with them land grabbing from their neighbors twice in 8 years.

Ask these people how they feel about Russia's "rescue" of Crimea. Maybe you can give them a room in your house since your buddy Putin is responsible for making them homeless.

In before "Faux news" propaganda! Yea, because I am sure everyone in Crimea wants to be Russian.....

LOL

You post news from Fox news, and then go "In before 'Faux news' propaganda"

What next? Doing what Reaper does and posting satire sites in defense of your statement?

There's a reason people avoid Fox news, and if you can't understand how much Fox falsifies the truth, you're probably not capable of understanding the situation with Russia.

Do you understand the history of Tatar and Russia? It isn't a very happy one, and there was a report of one Crimean Tatar being killed with "signs of torture", and other things to make the Tatars in the Crimea nervous. They would not be happy being under Russian rule again.

With that said, I can't think of any legitimate reason why the west decided to start this fiasco. And now a sanctions regime has been instated, even though the extent of Russia's actions in the Ukraine is minimal and almost not a single drop of blood was shed. Meanwhile, the Ukraine is doomed to remain a collapsed state for many years to come, joining the club of recent countries hit by American democracy (think Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Tunisia and Syria).

Well other than one Ukrainian serviceman killed after an attack on his base. There was also a Crimean Tatar found dead with 'Signs of Torture". The person was protesting against Russian Troops when he was hauled away by men in military style jackets. There is also reports of pro-Ukrainians in the Crimea getting attacked, as well as reporters. This is the Crimea not Ukraine. You keep on talking about the Ukraine being a collapsed state...

Just because you really wish for something to happen doesn't make it true. You should stop following Russian state media.

Please Russia isn't bullying anyone, they just explained that "It would be a shame is some armed 'pro-Russian' defense force poped up in their country, and peacefully took over their country with weapons."

You know that was meant to be a joke; however some of the people on this board who blindly follow the Russian State run news might see it that way.

@Newhopes: Is that the reason why a Right Sector Leader was killed in a shoot out with police?

Also just because the Russian Media is saying it doesn't make it 100% true

@Newhopes: Just as long as they protest against any pro-Russian views or support the Ukraine in any way.

In related news.

While it is true modern camera are around 230,000 miles better than that camera, and you can buy them for much less than $500; however they don't have the same history to them.

@reaper4278: Nibroc is a troll, best to ignore him.

In relation to the referendum. This story and this story kind of showed the vote wasn't the most on the level (however this isn't from RT or another pro-Russian source so it will get ignored)

Hopefully it will not escalate; however the Russians had painted the Ukrainian government as being all neo-Nazis, so things can get a whole lot uglier.

@Newhopes: That does have coverage in the western press. But also funny pro-Russian media is conveniently not covering what happening in Crimea, and the attacks on pro-Ukrainians. Also what does this have to do with an Ukrainian serviceman getting killed in an attack on an Ukrainian military base?
