To all the editors above saying "How often will you use the backwards compatibility?" - I regularly play my favourite PS1 games on my PS2, as much as I play actual PS2 games. Same goes with GameCube games on my Wii. Besides, it's the principle of the matter: once again, Europe gets shafted by Sony.
