I love Assassin's Creed, but I'm just burnt out. Annualizing the series was not the way to go in my opinion. I bought Assassin's Creed 1, 2, and Brotherhood on day 1. But I waited to get Revelations as a Christmas present the year it came out (still haven't played it yet) and I still haven't picked up 3. A series like this needs a year or two between games, since unlike COD there is an actual story and a lot of information given in each one. I'll probably skip this one too and just pick it up when it's on sale.

Oh, and they should never have added multiplayer. I don't care what anyone says, tacked on multiplayer sucks

@Smokescreened84 @Devils-DIVISION It's pretty dumb in this day and age that female protagonists are so few and far between. Even just the option to pick your gender in most games would be a big step forward.

Speaking of female protagonists, where's Samus? I'm pretty much holding out on buying a Wii U until a new Metroid game is announced. Samus has to be one of my favorite characters of all time

@mrklorox @C810 @barronator Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I knew it had something to do with the hardware, I was just never too solid on the specifics.

One thing I do wonder about is how accessories will fare. I know they said 360 controllers won't work with the 720, but I wonder if that applies to all controllers or just first party. I imagine if this applied to Razer controllers (I have the Onza) and Fanatec wheels, they would be pissing off a lot of people

@richten71 That's what I plan on doing to safeguard against backwards compatibility being dropped. However, I plan on buying another 360 Slim or two so a long time from now I can still play games like Kingdoms of Amalur and Mirror's Edge

@Maxx_the_Slash @barronator I think it would be too hard for Sony to include backwards compatibility in the PS4 because of the huge architecture difference between the two consoles. Now, I'm not saying Sony should just go right ahead and screw over PS3 gamers, but I won't be surprised if they announce backwards compatibility won't be there

@barronator I thought Microsoft didn't really do backwards compatibility because they screwed up and didn't patent the hardware or something to that effect. Then because of that, they had to make the 360 run an emulator to play original XBox games
