The 360 is practically screaming for a goodonline RPG. The hardware is certainly capable of running one, the hard drive would allow for patching, and the headset could replace the keyboard as the main mode of party communication. This needs to happen.

Otherwise, I think the 360 badly needs platformers and turn based strategy games. An HD-version of a game like Disgaea, Final Fantasy Tactics or Advance Wars would be a nice addition--not a retread, mind you, but a new game building on those classics.

Now that the 360 is becoming firmly entrenched as a mainstream console, at least in North America, I expect to see a broader selection of titles.

I think there is definitely going to be a "Halo effect" in terms of sales of other games, because the vast majority of XBL enabled gamers are playing the heck out of Halo 3 and ignoring everything else that comes out. That will fade in about a month, but games such as the Orange Box that would otherwise get a lot of notice are being overshadowedby Halo 3 hype.

Personally, I have Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon to finish, andI too am playing Halo 3, soI probably won't buy another thing until Mass Effect.
