I preferred Fallout to Oblivion. I found that the combat system in Fallout felt more realized, instead of just me constantly hitting right trigger to slash a sword in Oblivion, and I preferred the grittier and more mature tone that Fallout had.
Seriously, what's so good about it. The story isn't that great, the gameplay doesn't separate itself from others, because it's a fps where you.....shoot enemies. Wow, that's groundbreaking! Walking and shooting!
The only way to get in up to the hundred thousands is by using Midnight Wesker. If you look at the leader boards, all the best people are using him. you have to shoot the majinis in the face with his handgun, then run up and perform the melee move. This keeps giving you time, and after killing all the enemies (yes, theres a limit) you gain thousands in additional points depending on how fast you went.
