Weird...I never ran into this problem. But then again...I typically only buy games from Best Buy and maybe Frys...

I guess spending $40 to see if the physics are just as messed up as they were in GT4 is worth saving the extra $20 for the full version. At least I get to dig up that old Logitech steering wheel I bought for GT4.

Meh...limited editions are such jokes now. Adding a making of disc and a metal case doesn't warrant a limited edition (and $30 more). The GTA IV limited package looks awesome with all of the goodies, but all that stuff should just come with the standard game anyway.

Games like GH and Rock Band really aren't for everyone. I'm a huge music fan in general and it's fun to listen to the tracks while "playing" along. It's definitely more fun when you have a bunch of people over. As far as the sequels go, I think they really need to make more improvements to each game in order to release a full sequel...otherwise DL content is more than enough.

For less than $50 a year...I'll pay for it as long as it continues to evolve. I think the MS guys have created a true "community" because of all of the features such as chat and information tracking. Although...it would be kinda cool to be able to watch what your friends are playing, kinda like you're sitting next to them.

I typically only buy games that I'd be willing to keep. I'd really have to hate the game to want to get rid of it.

If by collecting you mean keeping them until they gain in monetary value then it really is a great big waste of time and money because you will never get anything like your original investment for them. Also there are much more profitable things to invest your money and efforts in.

If you collect because you enjoy having them (and preferably playing them), and you think that you will continue to do so then collecting games is fine as is collecting cds and dvds, but they will never gain in value.

It's pretty much like buying a car...once it leaves the store it's already lost 25% of it's value. Now..that being said there are exceptions like Guardian Heroes for the Saturn and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for the PS2. But even those won't pay for that new house.
