Okay, so I've beaten the game.... Not once throughout the entire game have I figured out how to recruit assassins or make any money.

After you finished all the liberation missions in a part of town you get a recruitment mission with your local liberation contact.

I havent had trouble with money, but you get money from missions, you can sell the stuff you get from hunting. and using homestead tocreate things using recipe's and resell them through convoy's. I dont use it so you might want to look up what recipe gets you the best profit.

Most of these guys become blade fodder but there are a couple that block every attack, every counter, every attempt at disarming or breaking defence... What gives?

for some of the heavy guys you'll have to use (X on ps3) after a counter. so instead of pressing square and then again square you have to press square and then X. or just spam them with X cause it makes them lose balance and evantually fall down.

Not to mention the sync objectives... Are some of these even possible? How can I throw people into the water when there's literally no button to grab and throw people anymore?

the only way to "grab"someone in ac3 is again after a counter but then you press cirlce which kinda pushes the enemy away so you need to make sure they got their back to the ledge or the water.

And why don't liberation missions (or any side missions) get anything on the map?
I accept a mission and I have no idea where I'm supposed to go.

This is a glitch that allot of poeple have. the missions are there but the icons wont appear on the map so you will have to run around looking for it. my advice is make sure you have subtitles on. Cause since its a mission youll see the subtitles pop up when the sidequest is close enough.

And I leave with one last question: Why do guards keep attacking me when I'm incognito and just running? Not doing anything illegal, just running to my goal, and next thing you know... I'm being shot at.

If your incognito you wont be attacked unless your running in to guards or climbing the roof. in the Frontier your always on tier 1 alert so you'll always attract attention.

the same button you use to counter. in ac3 you cant just grab but you have to counter and pressing the same button throw

yea i think so, but after doing boston i decided not to do new york since its not to big and there are allready a few fast travel points around it. the only place that i needed the fasttravel points were in the frontier but unfortunally no underground there

its a pretty common glitch, ive had it myself. the missions are there but the map just doesnt show them. so youll need to just run around till you see them.

you can't counter some enemies, you need to to press X on ps3 dont know the button on the 360

since the specialty is randomly assigned it makes no real diffrence to me.

No idea what you're smoking ACII is still top dog IMHO. Ezio's scene with Christina in ACB was surprisngly touching. ACIII did nothing for me.

I didn't get a sense of loss when he killed his friend, because the reason for his killing him seemed stupid.

Haytham should have been the final boss to kill and not Lee, so Haythams death felt anti-climactic and stupid considering how he aided his father earlier.

The only thing that did it for me is the moment that Lee and Connor shared at the Tavern right before he killed Lee. I thought that was pretty awesome.

Otherwise, Connor was an absolute bore and so were the rest of the characters. (Except for Haytham)

Yea totally agree, i think it would of been more intresting if it was haytham in the final scene. Espacially after all they went trough at the final chapters of the game.

And after finding out that it wasnt even the templars who killed his mother Connor didnt even react to the fact that he had nothing against the templars and especially his dad.

game says he became a templar at a very young age so hes been a templar all of his live so i doubt they'll make a game for him since its not called Templars Creed

yea the Lee mission was to me also the most frustrating part of the game cause its hard in a cheap way for no reason. i had to try for like 30 tries just to figure out how to get past the explosion and the guards, and everytime it was diffrent sometimes lee would push a guard which opened a pathway and sometimes not and crap like that.
