Yup, yet another Hitman fanboy decides to share his disappointment.
Well, i know that fanboys complain to minor changes in a game (like the notoriety system in BM), but this time it's different. They changed the core of the game, probably to suit a wider audience (more money) and that always leads to an average game. Look at Mafia, a freakin masterpiece, while its sequel is just average. It's the same with this one, Absolution is just a dumbed down average game.
I'm not even going to mention the instinct mode or point-shooting because i completed the game on purist mode, nor the fact that they removed the suitcase which was iconic, or that you aren't allowed to choose your weapons in story mode, no, what bugs me the most is how the changed the entire structure of the game. The checkpoint system is just stupid, you have to crouch and hide all the time, disguises are rendered useless (do all Chicago cops know each other that well, really?) and there isn't the same freedom of choice and free-roaming as in the previous games. Running and hiding all the time isn't what Hitman is supposed to be. Hitman is not AC or SC.
The story is bland and the characters are all goddamn morons. I mean, is Dexter Blake really the criminal mastermind that was supposed to challenge 47 like never before? The guy is just a violent redneck. Looking at all the businesses and estates he owned, that guy must've been worth millions if not a billion dollars, and yet he gets over-excited over 10 million dollars? That was his master plan? Lol... Wade, Birdie and Lenny are retarded idiots, Sanchez looks like a comic book character and Travis, the guy who's a member of a powerful clandestine agency, acts like a disoriented drunkard...
How did they mess it up so badly? Damn...
