Hi, I bought a Netgear router, and everytime I try logging into Xboxlive, it won't let me go on unless my Computer is completely turned off. Now, if my PC is on, it won't sign into Xbox Live because it says there's an IP conflict with another system on the network. How do I change it so my Xbox's IP is different? It only let's me on live if my IP is 192.168.1.2, I tried my REAL IP, that won't work. Help! I wanna be able to sign on live without problems.
Yeah, but I figured this situation is simple, I mean, it DOES connect, but my Comp and Xbox share the same IP and I dunno how to change one or the other.
Alright, I just bought some sweet Netgear router earlier today. The best Xbox Live certified one IMO too.. anyway, it's the RangeMax WPN824v3. Now, I set it up and everything, it set my regular IP as 192.168.1.2 and everything, I set up Xbox Live, and after a little while. it'll disconnect from Xbox Live because the Computer also has that same IP adress. How do I change it? I'm not the BEST person when it comes down to this stuff. If I shut off the comp, it won't disconnect me from live at all.
I'll be buying a PS3 no matter what, I just want to make sure I'm doing a wise thing. I'll sit it there until the Elite breaks. My luck is that the Elite never breaks and I'm stuck with the PS3 though =/ But I doubt it.
I also have a Wii, Like. It's kind of hard to explain where i'm coming from here. Like. you have your point with everything breaking. But the 360 will break randomly out of nowhere due to overheating or something. Thousands of people have had the problem, and few people still have launch 360s. I remember my Cousin Andrew having his 360 since Launch. It broke last August if I remember correctly. It's kindof hard to explain what point I'm trying to cross here.
