Um simply, no. Not only does crysis actually look better but it also has huge expansive environments that you can actually traverse across, destructible trees,vegetation,buildings all with amazing physics.completely dynamic ambient light maps and shadows (i.e. when a tree falls in whatever direction you shoot at it the shadows will be perfectly where they should be after it falls).
so no i dont think call of duty 4 comes close to be honest, especially considering how linear and uninteractive it is.
whilw Crysis does have destructible enviornments..the graphics are close..go watch that vid in that other thread...I tell it like it is .....
Which you say was a very, jam-packed action sequence. The gameplay demonstration that was shown at the Microsoft press Conference was average at best when next to Crysis. Crysis, in all action glory (aircraft carriers, massive Hunter aliens, JUNGLES being torn apart from the North Korean army's gunfire, EARTHQUAKES, tanks, C4 explosives etc.) will completely annihilate CoD 4.
