I don't know that I can still trust them though, after seeing what they WANT to do with the console. As I predicted, the military condemned not just the online policy but the Kinect. If they would now unbox the Kinect and drop the price by $100, I might buy it, but I'm not sure, I still have trust issues. I may stick with my original plan of migrating from 360 to PS4.
I've been saying these things since the MS announcements started, I'm glad to see that the military is speaking out against them. I love my 360, but I'll be switching to PS4.
If the disc-based market is so important to them, why do all of their game policies seem designed to screw the people that buy a game on disc, and instead make money?
PS4: the unofficial next-gen console for deployed US military all over the world, since they do not have guaranteed internet connections to check in every 24 hours. When they've got downtime they want to play games, not pay MS to watch them via Kinect. I could even see the military banning the Xbox One due to the Kinect spyware.
Before you "fanboy" me, I've never owned a Playstation console, I currently own a 360, and I'll be going PS4 for next-gen.
Translation: we decided to pass the buck and hope you hate publishers instead of us, but oh, sorry, when the console is released, you won't be able to loan games to your friends. We PROMISE you'll be able to do that EVENTUALLY, trust us!
