You know what, since I already have GW, let me that pop that in and give it another try. Who knows, maybe I'll like it. Might as well try somethng I already have before jumping over to something else.

EDIT: Ah damn, I can't remember where i put the case! :?

EDIT #2: Nevermind found it.

EDIT #3: Haha wow I don't even remember my email I used for this, or the password. And it's asking me a character name I have on the account.. Can't remember. I don't really want to go through the hassle figuring all that out, meh.:P

Ah I see, but my concern still stands regarding my previous post about how welcoming D2 really is to new players. Especially if I'm playing alone, as the other post said in this thread. If I start fresh, everyone's already done this, seen that etc. and holds no interest besides doing their endgame grinding and whatnot. I don't know about the community not being friendly or 'elitist' but I'm talking about accessibility here.

Those are just the CD keys, not the actual game.

Heh yeah, it's just that the main part of an online RPG is the character you create and I just don't really find the character models in GW all that appealing. I guess I prefer more stylized visuals, such as WoW, PSO, Torchlight. Not something that tries to be too realistic.

I remember I used to play Phantasy Star Online a lot, on the Dreamcast. I liked that game because it wasn't very time consuming if you didn't want it to be. I could just hop in, play through a dungeon with some players and then log off. It was a straightforward game that also had depth to it with the Mag system, loot hunting, and of course being class-based.

Any games out there like the PSO series?

I have Guild Wars Platinum Edition from a while back, I couldn't get into it at all. I don't know.. I just don't like the visual style of it I guess. On top of that, NCSOFT is having some major security issues right now with their accounts, I don't really want to deal with their awful customer support.

I live in Canada but I checked on the Blizzard store and those are the prices listed. $39.99 for the Battlechest, $19.99 each for original and expansion.

Thank you for the replies. :)

I was thinking of Diablo 2, I don't mind the graphics but it just seems kinda intimidating. Like everyone that's on there has probably played it for years and it seems like it's not very welcoming to new players. I hope that's not the case.

EDIT: On second thought, I might pass on D2. It'll cost me $40 for both the original and the expansion, I was hoping it would be cheaper by now since i spent a ton on the Steam sales. Meh!

Hello, I recently purchased Torchlight off of Steam and I am enjoying it a lot but I just wish it had some form of online. What other games are out there that are similar to Torchlight or rather any hack and slash/action RPG/dungeon crawler , but with multiplayer as well?

No Torchlight will not have multiplayer, it was meant to be a single-player game which will be later followed by an MMORPG set in the same world 18 months - 2 years from it's release. Runic Games intended to simply introduce the Torchlight world with this game in order to set the stage for the upcoming MMORPG.
