It's not that the technology didn't exist, guys. It wasn't cost-effective at the time. There was no reasonable pricing structure for the consumer for it, either. And look at the Wii's success without it! This technology served a much better purpose for Nintendo by being released NOW instead of years ago when the Wii came out. This isn't about technology existing. It's about using your ace in the hole when you need it.
What about Albatross 18? FANTASTIC golf game for free! Played it for over a year and thoroughly enjoyed the awesome courses and extremely friendly community. Try it!!
MK Wii is pretty good! Don't bomb it because you can't snake, that's really shallow... jeez, you know, maybe you haters are pretty good at snaking or whatever, but some aren't in to punishing our thumbs for that extra edge and want to be able to win without getting tendinitis. As for people whining about jumps and everything else you think has changed for the worst, just think about what nintendo has stood for during the last... I don't know... decade... they innovate! They make the experience enjoyable for lots of people. Think about this for a sec. Is it a better game because you are good at it, or is it a better game because now your girlfriend can use automatic drifting and actually wants to play with you?
ummmmmmm GUYS you can stop whining, wondering why gamespot does this. It's at least the 3rd or 4th feature like this they have done . Ii've seen metroid prime and halo 3 comparisons before, by gamespot, in the same format, and I read the SAME THING every time they do it. Look. Just appreciate art in games! Why do you think they do these features? To start fights? Seriously. Is progress being made? YES. Are Wii graphics like those of a gamecube on steriods? Maybe, but if it was anything more than it is now in that department then the dev's would have had to sacrifice other winning aspects that have made the Wii the hit gaming console... no ... hit PHENOMENON that it has become. So FRICKIN RELAX and look at the pretty stars, people!!! It's a good game that looks great. Enjoy it. Breathe it in. And please, for all our sakes, be thankful that anyone at all pays any attention to detail in an age where rehashed and uninspiring sequels are forced down our game-loving throats.
ummm... post is about pokemon, not wars... i just wanted to say i represent that group of people who grew up on red and blue version and still find the series appealing. Got 130 hrs logged on diamond, it's still a fantastic game that managed to evolve yet again with the physical/special split within all the types... I say, Great Job guys! Keep making quality games and I'll still buy them when I'm in my 30's and 40's
a real pokemon for the wii would be a step up for sure, I sure hope that someone over at nintendo HQ is thinking about it. i always hoped they would have made one for the gamecube, but they ran with colosseum and XD instead... i don't know about you guys but i always thought even since the original stadium that it was a pretty lame offshoot... the handheld ones play WAY faster while remaining the same game, and there's no way you'll ever be able to raise a killer team(EV training, breeding, etc.) without the handheld. Maybe nintendo is just filled with geniuses that know that anyone who wants to be the best in battle revolution will have to own/buy a DS and diamond/pearl. Cha-Ching!
lol i'm 20 years old and I bought this. Man, does it bring back the memories! OMG i used to be a pokemon MASTER back in the day and I am surprised by how much i remember... Anyway, don't knock it till you try it.
