I don't get some of the negative reviews for this. If I had listened to them I probably would have thought this game was a broken mess or something like that. It's not. Shame though since those reviews probably put some people off of a good game. Personally I have to say the low-scoring critics got it wrong on this one.

@chrisx2k3 It's not about "hate". People have the right to stand up and make a complaint when something goes wrong. If people didn't speak out like they do, you would still be having to pay an extra $10 today for an Online Pass if you bought a used game and wanted to use online features/multiplayer in an EA game that has those.

Sure they "do their best to fix it" when they get things wrong and actually do like with online passes which are no more. However the problem is that they just go on to mess up something else afterwards. See Battlefield 4's bugs and the recent Dungeon Keeper game having more timers than actual game in it.

@sylumcase I think having civilians stay indoors as in Arkham Origins is probably to be expected. This is a Batman game and it's not like Batman goes around hassling civilians. So there's not really any point in having them wandering around the streets like in GTA V.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm certainly not going to miss unnecessary features like tacked-on multiplayer. I don't mind games like Titanfall that are made with multiplayer in mind to begin with but shoe-horning a mediocre multiplayer mode into a single-player game isn't going to extend the lifespan of a game like some companies seem to think it will. I just ignored it completely.

Tomb Raider for example is a game that would have done just as well without the multiplayer. Spec Ops: The Line is another. A good single-player game can stand on its own and a lot of people just aren't interested in MP. In the case of Spec Ops it felt like the publisher just wanted another bullet point they could put on the back of the box.

I think the new site looks great so far, some parts of the old site felt a bit dated so it's nice to see GameSpot getting a refresh. Just need to iron out the bugs and other issues that come with updating a website like this and it'll be all set. I like how Feedbackula, Top 5 Skyrim Mods of the Week and the others have their own place on the main page now.

@thekazumalord @Axile11

You don't need to play it if you don't like it. Sure, it could do with a bit more "game" in there but Heavy Rain sold three million copies so there's definitely an audience for this kind of thing.

Personally I like how Quantic Dream are trying something different with their games.

@TheWatcher000

I can think of a couple of expansion packs for console games, but yeah, I'd prefer more expansion packs instead of short DLCs. Some DLCs can be good but most just aren't worth it in my opinion.

If this turns out well then people in China will have a lot of catching up to do. There have been so many great games in those 13 years.

@Deadlysyns87 @devild0ogwhite It could have done without the galactic readiness system though. Fair enough that people like the multiplayer but it didn't need to push those who don't into playing it.

For Batman: Arkham Origins though it's a different developer working on the multiplayer, so the single-player should hopefully be unaffected like they said in an interview on PS Access.
