Well this one's a tough one.

As most of the other's have been saying, MGS4 has a fantastic Single Player Campaign. The game has one of the best, if not the best visuals ever seen in a game. Even after 2 years, I haven't seen a game surpass MGS4's visuals. The gameplaygameplay is also good. It is a 3rd person shooter, much different than MW2, but you can choose to play the game as a FPS but tweaking some settings. Now the bad or good of the Single Player campaign is that there are a lot of cut scenes to watch. I actually focutscenescutscenes to be really entertaining, but I agree that some of them, especiallycodec codece are a few maps to choose from, but there a lot of game rules. To make the online experience MUCH better, you should buy all of the expansion packs. They do come at a cost, but you have so much more maps, more gear, and you can even play as the story characters like Raiden and Ocelot. So final line is that MGS4 has one of the best Single Player, with pretty good multiplayer.

If you liked the first Modern Warfare, you'll love the second. The Single Player campaign is very good and an enjoyable ride, howeRaiden doesn't come close to what MGS4's single player campaign offers. However the Single Player multiplayer also rather short for MW2. It took me just a few hours to beat the game. Also, in MW2 I honestly didn't feel like replaying the game, unlike in MGS4 where I'm on 3rd playthrough right now. Now everybody knows that COD is famous for their fantastic online, and this game isn't different. There is so much more features rather than MGO on MW online. First of, the game is much more rewarding. In MGO if you get playthroughreak it just shows a message, however, in MW2 it lets you have a missile strike. Also the perks on MW2 works so much better than the Skill settings on MGO. Perks can range from a lot of stuff. From small things like less movement while holding a weapon, to big things like being able to use a weapon of the person that has just killed you. This system works great for beginners and hardcore players. Also, MW2 offers co-op, offline and online, which is great for people like me that invite friends over a lot.

Yeah I know I wrote a ####load of stuff up there, but bottom line is that MGS4 has one of the best Single Player Campaign, with a pretty good online, and MW2 has a good, but extremely short single player campaign, but extremely fun online. To be honest I recommend MGS4, since it has a cheaper price tag, and it's a must play, while, MW2 is more of an online experience.
