It makes me pretty right. I'm sure quite a few people would have bought Over-Strike just based on the characters. Though I'd have to look at your comment and say, "That's it?" because it made you seem petty also.

What was the developer thinking? They failed miserably in the actions with which they took to make the game more interesting to the "wider" audience.

Hope this serves as a learning tool as to what NOT to do.

Don't gut unique quirky games that are lacking in gaming world.

I wouldn't say they are a dime a dozen. There are craptons more FPS's, RTS's, and etc. Don't know how you could even coin that term.

I'm curious about what you guys think about this MOBA game with a new twist. Instead of mouse clicks for auto attacks and navigating you have complete control over your God and skill shots are a huge part of the game.

Personally I really enjoy the game, for it's competitive atmosphere and it's introduction to using actual skill or hand/eye coordnation. The Gods are very enjoyable and opens a world of nearly endless possiblities of new Gods coming out in the future. Though it's just in beta and still needs to iron some balance issues out, I'd have to say it's a pretty balanced game so far for it being roughtly 3 months away from release.

I've heard some bad things about the game too, as in Hi-Rez is developing it. How they messed up Tribes into a terrible game.

So I ask you, how does this game stack up against big MOBA games such as Dota 2 or LoL? Do you see this game becoming big or just having a niche audience? Do you think the game is balanced and enjoyable?

I'd honestly rather shoot ISA soldiers then Helgan soldiers. I really dislike the ISA and letting me kill them will let me take out my frustration of how poorly written they are and to slap Killzone 3 across the face, hopefully we could nuke a ISA planet.

I expect a story based upon the lore of the universe. They keep putting out these trailers where it seems like the story is going to be amazing but turns out to REALLY suck. Look at the trailer for Killzone 3 where that guy put on a Helghast's Mask. I was like, "Oh cool someone is going to defect and we get to see the other side." Nope. Just doing a disguise mission for like 1 minute before Rico has to shoot the place up. Killzone 3 is terrible story wise, even the multiplayer didn't live up to Killzone 2. Killzone 2 was alright but fantastic MP.

Jesus christ, Guerrilla are you serious? Another Killzone in the perspective of the ISA? You still going to portray the Helghast as the space -insert german reference to WWII here-. They have ALL this lore and they are going to screw it up just like two and three. Let's face it, the ISA are WAY worse then the Helghast yet they love making us feel like space cowboys with us totin' guns around, yee haw style.

Expecially that mess that's called Killzone 3, where a band of troops took on the WHOLE Helghan army. Comon, the Helghast are even trained better then the ISA and they still managed to win with Rico and his loud mouth (surprised a sniper never took him out).

This for me is extremely disappointing for me to see from the trailers. I know Killzone: Mercenaries is coming out but for the love of god let us actually play the Helghast. I can say a large majority would agree with me.

-sigh- This game isn't going to do well with it's subpar story (refer to nuking planet to kill one guy).

[QUOTE="Gen007"]

Yeah Mass effect 2 while a great game got a major nerf in the RPG department and felt more like a shooter which why im really worried for ME3 because it seems like they are heading towards ditching the RPG elements all together.

wis3boi

ME1 wasnt much different, just a lot clunkier and had a useless loot system

And it had real RPG elements with better story line then ME2. All you have to do is look at the ending of ME2 to see it was a disgrace.

There are gamers and then hardcore gamers. I'm in the category of hardcore. Gamers definition is someone who plays games, so I do it hardcore thus the "hardcore" comes into play. While I do not like the fact that people are called gamers for playing Farmville, and World of Warcraft because to me that is a lie. It is stated that they are so no changing that.
