@Thanatos2k: Bro pretty much every reputable site/critic that reviews movies gave it good ratings. The only people who hated it in large are a small (but very vocal) portion of hardcore fans who were angry with some of the story decisions (myself included). That’s my whole point here.
@Thanatos2k: I was exaggerating by saying non existent advertising but it was definitely much less than any of the previous films. And yes most people hated TLJ that’s why it got overwhelmingly positive reviews. My “narrative” is based on facts. Is yours?
@Thanatos2k: Underpreforming does not make it a “bomb”. And it takes more than a trailer at the Super Bowl to effectively advertise a film. The vast majority of profits from any film are from casual viewers who go to the movies to be entertained for a couple of hours and then never think about it again. These people for the most part enjoyed TLJ and would have gone to see Solo had they known it existed.
@Thanatos2k: I cant stand the guy but the percentage of people who would boycott the film because of the Director is like less than 1% . If you're referring to Solo as the first "bomb" (which is an exaggeration) it under preformed mostly because of a non existent marketing campaign.
