I'd rather play Warcraft 3.

I played DOTA2 before and I fairly understand what's going on. But in the end, it's goddamn boring to have to waste time with the dumb "last-hit" requisite. I really can't believe how people are wasting an upwards of 45 minutes to a whole hour per match just clicking in and out of a group of enemies. I'd rather take direct control of my character and direct control over its attacks, swings, magic and soforth. Dumbing down everything to a single click defines PC gaming lately.

Posts like this and just about everything is pure ignorance and honestly pathetic. Most of you don't have a clue.

You can't bash this game much at all, you can only say that it isn't for you.

Anyone who bashes the game instead of saying "it's not for me" is basically a scrub and/or insecure. haha

This is what games like League of Legends and Call of Duty do to you. Easy team games that make you think believe you're better than you actually are.

[QUOTE="22Toothpicks"]probably not as wide a gap from wii to 360 but yes the new MS console damned well better have superior tech to the wii u also: **doing this does not make an idiotic statement fact** caseypayne69

It blows my mind that Nintendo could not of spent just a tad more and beefed up the Wii-U it makes no sense that they dident? And it's already hurting them at launch the public ain't falling for it.

I agree. My mind is blown that Nintendo didn't make a beefy console. They had the cash power, that's the joke. I have owned all consoles in every gen but that's because my Wii and GameCube are gifts from my wife. She knows not to buy a Wii U. At least not till 2017 or so when it's cheap and with games.

Nintendo is just doing some very smart business. They have their own piece of the market which is guaranteed to sell A LOT just based on the Nintendo name and its franchises. At this point, they don't really need to compete for the other half of the pie. Sony and MS are in direct competition for the other half of the industry because they're competing for that same #1 spot in the high-tech field. Nintendo can make a console which makes money for every system sold, retain their nice fraction of the market share, and chill while MS and Sony kill themselves. From the way it looks, MS might eventually boot Sony out of the business.

Consoles are all about optimization, because getting beefy hardware is too expensive. Each time a console is released, I'm always underwhelmed at first glance but after a few years in I'm surprised at how much performance they're able to get out of the hardware.

What bothers me about this gen is that the industry is waiting for a console hardware revolution before creating new game engines. PC's haven been working on the same multi-plat engines now. And from what I've gathered, big time game developers are hoping for 8+ core CPU's in consoles in order to make the necessary big jump. The thing is, PC's aren't even at that point, at least in the mainstream. So the chances of consoles getting a proper 'next-gen' cpu doesn't seem likely to me, which would suck because PC's will held back further.

Attention people:

Please attempt to learn more than the word "textures" when describing the graphics of games, because here for example there is more going on then simply having the game display a high res texture. Consoles are perfectly capable of outputting high res textures in the right situations, but what you're also seeing in this particular screenshot is features of DX11 called tessellation and parallax occlusion mapping.

I hate reading this forum because nobody seems to know what they're talking about!

First impression are important.

And PS2 does a very poor job of that

FPSfan1985

It's a F2P shooter. It does the best thing it can, which is throw you into a battle and let you figure things out. First impression will vary depending on intelligence/comprehension level of whos playing. Seriously people, stop needing games to hold your hand and use your brain.

How hard is it to have a pop up showing people how to deploy. Thats all that is really needed. Once I learned how and where to deploy the game became much more enjoyable.

LOL, no way.. a tutorial is needed for deploying?!!? I figured people are getting frustrated over the actual gameplay, not the most basic feature!

Its ok in short bursts. The scale can be too much at times. Like its fun and amazing too see so many people battle it out, but if u ever get into a large fight its just a cluster ****. Also, on the flipside, there are times when u will literally spend 10minutes trying to get to a fight because as soon as u reach a hotzone, the conflict is over. and maybe u cant find a vehicle terminal and your instant action drop pod is on CD lol.II_Seraphim_II

I really pity people who post this stuff. Everybody has this idea of what a game should be, and if it doesn't match what they're playing it's bad. It's no wonder COD is so popular.

It doesn't take 10 minutes to get to a battle, ever. It's instant every 30 minutes. If your instant action is on cooldown, you can spawn a flash and take literally one minute to drive some action. The bases are really, really close to each other.

It isn't a cluster **** at all. There are some areas that are designed to be choke points, but the battles are very wide spread. You just need a comprehension of the big picture, because the zerg usually isn't doing the smartest thing. It'll be a while for the general population to get a grasp of what's actually going on.

Every complaint I read about PS2 really comes down to people not comprehending the game, and it's annoying because great games like this don't get the chance they really deserve from a lot of people. There are only some actual technical issues, which btw is nothing compared other mmo launches.

I've invited my League of Legends friends to play with me the other day and they sound like this forum because they complained from the first minute. A bunch of whiny, entitled noobs who can't actually use their brain to comprehend a game with some depth and the only technical term they know is "textures".
