@Warful @Ailith Honestly her reaction was pretty reasonable. She just came out and said "Hey, I have a game coming out soon and your character looks a lot like me, not cool" that's it. She's not threatening them with anything, she just voiced an opinion. It's not like Naughty Dog will suffer any lost profits.
@Warful @Ailith Who cares though? THEY aren't suing Naughty Dog, they're just talking shit. The majority of people don't understand their rights when it comes to this kind of thing, so they just assume she's being egotistical, when she actually does have a valid point.
@edpeterson @Lacarus It's not a matter of just looking like someone, they're making a profit off of this game where the main character looks very similar to her. The moneymaking part is where it becomes potentially problematic.
@Warful @Ailith I don't see how that comparison works. The point is it looks enough like her that if she did take it court (which she wont) she would have a case. I honestly don't think they did rip her off, I just think they suffered from bad timing since she has a game coming out soon.

@rawkstar007 Except she can. This applies to everyone, not just actors. If you use someones likeness to make money, you need their consent or else you are violating their rights and they can come after you. I'm a photographer, I have been over this dozens of times with models. It doesn't matter if they're posing for free, you still need them to sign a release to cover your ass.
@ShimmeringSword @Tripwolf Having that tiny line of text doesn't legally cover you from committing copyright infringement. If they use someones likeness for the sake of making a profit and then don't pay that person, they will get sued.
