Objectivity with games can be possible. I'll give you the objective rundown of SMG2.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a video game. It's in outer space. Whether or not you like the setting, depends on whether or not the setting appeals to you. Mario is the main character. You collect stars and progress through levels.

This gameplay may appeal to people. It may also not appeal to people. The people it appeals to depends on what the people appealed to like.

All in all, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a platformer about Mario.

See? Objectivity is just as much fun as having a real opinion.

+1 for that reference of the Destructoid review of Final Fantasy XIII.

+1000 for sig and avatar.

-10000000 for completely missing the point. :P

Resident Evil 4 is the greatest game ever made. Uncharted 2 isn't.

Therefore RE4 is better.

[QUOTE="psn8214"]I'm not sure who was accusing who of trolling, but my point was that from an objective standpoint I think SMG2 is the most deserving ten of this gen. My favorite game? No, though it's certainly one of them. :Ppsn8214

Stuff like this always gives me a good laugh. How do you objectively decide something that is subjective and relative in nature?

You don't. That's just me trying to sound universal.

Ahh, well then carry on. 8)

[QUOTE="AfterBurnerZ"][QUOTE="jg4xchamp"]Majora's Mask is the best zelda by a land slide.

I thought you preferred Twilight Princess? The real best Zelda.

Twilight Princess is cool. I mean it's good. You are an idiot(no seriously that stupid) if you think it's actually "bad". It's just so....samey and underwhelming. The midna stuff was cool, and I liked how the twilight realm looked.

But it's no Majora's Mask.

You buggin' homes.

I distinctly remember you saying Twilight Princess was better. :P or maybe that was Skittles.

[QUOTE="AfterBurnerZ"]You say it like it's a bad thing. :|Jandurin

I think he's saying while it's a great game it's no 10.

more like, it would be a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if SMG hadn't already been out.

Uncharted 2 is to Uncharted 1 what SMG2 was to SMG yet it still got ridiculous scores.

It might just be me but I think reviewers just judge games based on their own merits, not based on other games of the series. Just sayin'.

If this was another long anime, I might agree with you. However, One Piece is an exception amongst long animes in the sense that it keeps improving as the series goes on. Also unlike many other long Shonen series, the plot and the characters are also very well-thought out and you will see many recurring details and characters LONG after you've forgotten about them (possibly hundreds of episodes later).

It wasn't bad before episode 45 per se, but there is a fair amount of build up that needs to be done and while its absolutely necessary for later parts of the show, it can drag on a bit and a lot of people can be turned off when the show doesn't instantly hook you. In my opinion, it's worth it to stick through those episodes because after that you get 400+ episodes and counting of pure awesomeness.

Sky-

Not really. I watched about 50-60 episodes of One Piece and it dragged on and on. That soured the whole show for me for a few reasons.

1) The show is literally the Family Guy of anime. A bunch of plotlines that have nothing to do with the overall story. Okay, maybe not ALL of it is random but most of it is, the other side is Luffy finding his crewmates. Luffy and friends go island to island telling the residents of said island how much they want to go to the Grand Line, and then some random douchebag comes and they fight for whatever reason. The show can literally go on and on forever with this formula and it's hella repetitive. No one likes sitting through tedium before you get to the good stuff. All those wasted episodes can be spent watching a much better anime than One Piece or just doing something else entirely.

2) There's no character development other than the random island they visit that coincidentally deals with one of the crew's past like the whole Nami thing with Arlong. Luffy is also a boring character whose only appeal is that he's just another happy-go-lucky shonen character who is able to kick ass. Most of the character's are clichés in way or another and the only slightly interesting one is Sanji.

Don't get me wrong there are some good aspects of One Piece like the humor, art-style, and music. I just don't consider it a must-watch show, more like something I'll watch when there's nothing left to do.

Lol people still care about that stupid Taylor Swift incident? It created some hilarious pictures but wow, some people are ridiculously sensitive.

In related news, GaGa dominated the awards.
