@kanerobot: I got the same "off the rails" feeling, but I went in the opposite direction. It doesn't feel positive, to me. The series has got off the rails and down the precipice.
It looked like things were constantly getting broken, and someone tried to fix them, with varying rates of success, but ultimately the efforts in that sense weren't nearly enough, and now it seems the problems reached a point of no return. Relationships, mindsets, also Miguel's integrity, are all crushed and no one has the faintest clue on what to do from now on to revert all that mess. We can't even say there is a way, for that matter.
Good luck to the producers and writers on trying to fix this, because it seems an impossible challenge.
@DarkNeoBahamut: You're mostly right, but things actually look even worse than that. These abilities are possibly nerfed versions of the ones you mentioned. Full Metal Body prevents stats lowering as a result of attacks, but not from other sources, meaning that Solgaleo can still suffer the effect of Intimidate. As for Shadow Shield, the description we have doesn't say how much the damage is reduced, so we can't say for sure if it's the same thing as Multiscale, but it may be a nerfed version of it as well.
