I bought a broken CECHA model ps3 from a friend for fairly cheap. It has a 160gb hard drive that was upgraded from the original. It shuts off about 5 minutes after turning it on. It seems the fan doesn't run at all. I bought a replacement fan, and it didn't work either. Any ideas from anyone, or is this thing toast?

Im not really sure. I have lost saves on two Pokemon game boy games because of it. Does anyone know if the battery problem will eventually effect N64, GBA, and DS? One of my N64 games sometimes acts a little unusual.
Since you already played all of those, and you have similar games on the wii, I have some you might like. I wouldn't get Melee because Brawl is just an updated version. How about Paper Mario on VC or Paper Mario TTYD, Baten Kaitos series, Tales of Symphonia, Windwaker, or Mario Kart?
Its a tie between my PS2 and Saturn, 2 games each.
Grandia 2
Kingdom Hearts
Grandia 3 is okay, story isn't as good as 2.
Easily TTYD. It expanded on the awsomeness of the origonal. The third was okay. It could have been better.
I've always been more of a Nintendo and Sega person, but about a year ago, my friend gave me his old ps2 because he said it didn't work. I took the top off and cleaned the dust out, and it works now. I use it all the time. I use it as a DVD player most of the time though.
Oh, I forgot. If you get the Sega Smash Pack, it has Shining Force and Phantasy Star 2 on it along with about 10 other games.
A few must haves that aren't RPG's are Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure series.
The first one in my house was my dad's NES, but he sold it when I was 3. The first one that was mine was the N64 I got when I was 6. It is still on the shelf hooked up to my TV today.
For GC:
Paper Mario TTYD
Tales of Symphonia
Baten Kaitos series
PS2:
Kingdom Hearts series
Final Fantasy series
Grandia 2
