@ThePurpleBubble You're allowed to have any opinion you'd like. But you're admitting that one of the better shooters you've ever played has technical issues and is lacking in maps. That really discredits your opinion. It just doesn't seem like anyone is aggressively resisting the overall 6 rating given by Gamespot and IGN. That's why all the interest I once had in Brink has diminished.
@cjf187x I was very excited about this game. And I don't care about learning curves. I loved Demon's Souls and that learning curve was as unforgiving as it gets. The problem is, I've read many more not-so-good reviews than good reviews from very reputable sources stating that this game is very mediocre, with no mention of a comparison to COD and other FPS. Specific elements of this specific game were reviewed as lacking and mediocre. If a review started comparing Brink, or any game, directly to COD, I would immediately stop reading it. That's basic review reading 101. You cannot give Brink a good review simply because it's a different game. There are elements to every game and from what I've heard, Brink's are lacking and not fixable via patch. At this point, with a $60 price tag, I won't be buying this one. However, a post-patch review from Gamespot might get me to rent it.
I hear the game is very mediocre. Gamespot must have banked in by throwing this game guide up for them. From what I've heard, the issues aren't fixable via patch.
