[QUOTE="gangster480"]

A. call sony and pay 150 bucks to get it fix within 2 weeks.

B. get a slim ps3

C. find a place where they still sell fat ps3s, buy it, and put the broken one in and return it. if they check your serial number then just say it was a gift.

Doomtime

C is called fraud

Yeah. Don't do that.

Instead of committing Fraud. Either just buy a slim. Or fork over the $150 for the repair. Or you could do both (to either resell the 2nd one legitimately, or to have a 2nd PS3).

I would personally just buy a slim. I never trust repairs. If somethign ELSE breaks, or it breaks again, you will be out another $150 which could have just gotten you a slim.

The PS3 demo has half the frame tearing of the 360 demo, odd... YoungSinatra25

First game was like that too. For whatever reason this engine seems to run better on PS3 than XBOX, with less framrate issues and screen tearing (it's still there though)..

Still I think this is a game that the console versions will not be able to compete with the PC version. Not just in the detail and resolution, but in the actual functionality with the way the game plays. On PC it will support 64 players which completely changes the dynamics on the game with the scale of the maps.

I'm tempted to upgrade my PC for this and Mass Effect 2. It's been awhile since I've been able to play PC games.

For whatever reason Gamespot has been the harshest critic of this game as well as White Knight Chronicles. Look at the other media reviews, and the user reviews for both games. They both indicate that these are really really a 7.0-7.5 game. The game spot review seems to be an aberration for both. Neither were ever going to be "day 1" for me. But gamespot really seems to be all over the place with their reviews lately. If you are going to trust a review it's best to look at the general consensus of reviewers and the user's opinions, rather than one "professional" critique.

I think this will be a fairly fun game if just for the single player. But I was probably always going to wait on it to be cheap - unless it got some mind blowing reviews. I just never expected it to be anything "fun", but also but mediocre and generic. They probably are not helping their sales by releasing a Demo that has a completely broken matchmaking system. That was their one chance to convince me it was good enough to buy day 1, and i can't even play it.

[QUOTE="ks1990steelman"]God of War Collection: Beat the challenges of the Titanskut773

I'm not a hard core gamer by any means and GoW 1 & 2 are my only Plat trophies. The thing is about these 2 games is that all the trophies in these games are very easy, except the challenge, so you basically only have one tough trophy. I thought it was hard--but compared to these other games people are talking about , it seemes very easy, fair, and reasonable.

Like the other posters said, some of these games have f--king retarded trophies that serve no purpose except to make you suffer.

There are two different types of "pain in the butt" trophies.

The type that make you GRIND. The online games fall into that category. I personally don't have a problem with the "collecting" trophies (the feathers in Assassin's Creed 2 was nothing at all). But some of the online stuff just takes too long and too many hours.

Then there is the type that are just BRUTALLY DIFFICULT. God of War is pretty close to that category. I was almsot thrown into a controller smashing rage by that one. It only took about 3 hours, but being stuck on a couple of the late challenges and knowing you'd lose it all if you reset is what was frustrating. Guess that's how I'd feel every day if I bought Demon's Souls.

Last night: Yatta Trophy on Dr Robotnik (the only hard trophy on Sonic Genesis collection) This morning: Complete the Challenge of the Gods trophy in God of War (about a million continues on 7,8 and 10). A controller smashing trophy. These might be the two toughest SINGLE trophies out there as far as them taking only a little time, but having to try again about a million times until you finally get it. Kinda feels good to get them both out of the way. I don't even want to think about doing God of War II at this point. I need a more relaxing game.

I'm sure this won't affect sales at all, yup! istuffedsunny

No kidding. This isn't a Beta. It's a DEMO. If it's not fixed by the time the release comes out it will probably cost them a HUGE chunk of sales. This wasn't going to be a AAA seller, but it could be the difference from being a solid seller and a big timer loser.

I don't remember having any problems with that part (on normal difficulty). Eventally got tired of the last boss and had to switch to easy mode. Up until then the game wasn't too bad at all on Normal difficulty. You just have to learn to block and roll (and use your magic attacks when enemies are grouped together to get maximum damage) . If you are having trouble switch it to easy, easy seems to be a joke. I went from not being able to beat the last boss on Normal to destroying him in 2 seconds on easy mode. I saved my game so eventually i will give him another go on normal difficulty. This game must be a beast on it's hard modes. If it's the puzzle itself that has you stuck then just check youtube, but there's no reason to be getting frustrated over the "regular" enemies.
