Have a look at the 3DS games catalogue, if there are several games that capture your attention alongside Pokemon X and Y, then I say go for it. I originally picked one up for Pokemon X and Y and have ended up buying a further 5 games for the 3DS since mid-October.

I'd like to see eight competitions as per usual but with 32 brand new tracks, no rehashed tracks from old games like what was given to us in Mario Kart 7. That would be fantastic and will show that there is still plenty of life left in the franchise.
Super Mario 3D World.
Zelda Wind Waker HD.
The Wonderful 101.
Rayman Legends
Pikmin 3.

The Wii U is a poor console, it's a console that's about 6 years behind as far as tech.
That's not factually correct is it? Also if what you say is true then the architecture must be far older in the Xbox One seeing as the Wii U has more native 1080p/60fps games.
If the Wii U does 'flop' or becomes an 'abject failure' it's not because the Wii U is a poor console (far from it) it's because Nintendo never supported the Wii U properly. To release a console with not a single must have exclusive and virtually no marketing all the while expecting to achieve a sales figure of 9 million for its first fiscal year on the market was absolutely bonkers.
Mario Open Tennis is a very good game.
I was debating whether or not to sell mine, but then I remembered five things.
1. Mario Kart 8
2. Super Smash Bros.
3. Bayonetta 2
4. X
5. Zelda.
I'd take these five games over the generic rubbish that will be churned out on the PS4 and Xbox One any day of the week. I'd save a fortune too which will allow me to purchase some top of the range waders for when I finally get around to some serious urban trout fishing.
- Fire Emblem.
- Fatal Frame.
- Fzero.
- Metroid
- Star Fox
- Pilotwings.
The beauty of the 3DS is that it can be enjoyed by every age group, it doesn't discriminate and there is something for everyone on the 3DS. If you like the look of Bravely Default and you feel that purchasing the game and a 3DS family console is worth the investment, then I'd say go for it, buy it and enjoy what is an amazing handheld console.
James do you need a monitor , keyboard, mouse, speakers and OS? Are you basically starting from scratch?
I have a separate budget for all of that. The £900/$1476 is just purely for the PC itself.

I've maxed out your budget limit, I hope you like it =)
It looks pretty sweet, thanks.
