The movie industry caters to different people so I don't see why the game industry can't do the same thing. That doesn't mean shutting off the games that appeal to the majority. The game industry will go away if the majority doesn't get what they want.
I still use the first xbox and the PS2. I like my PS3 and think I'll still be playing it long after the 720 and PS4 are released. I am saving judgement until these machines are released and I get to see them in action.
Looks like another shooter. Has problems like other shooters. I didn't expect this to be on the same level as farcry 3. I'll play it sometime this year.
Requiring an internet connection will hurt sales. There are times when internet connections go down and people just want to play a game. There are times that I play offline just so I am not bothered. The majority of Americans do not have broadband.
Yes you can do that. But instead of nodes, there are upgrade slots. You will have to make some of the classic weapons. I have been using the standard cutter for most of the game and I unlocked the planet cracker cutter for having a Dead Space 2 save file.
Played about 6 hours so far. Dead Space 3 offers something for everybody. Want the classic Dead Space feel? Play solo with the classic tool weapons. You're not forced to use the military weapons. You don't need to touch the DLC or the co-op.
Dead Space 3, a great entry in a great series. Play the way you want.
DLC, comic books, novels, and games for kindle should not override canon for games released on major consoles and the PC. But the way the gaming industry works, they probably dismissed the original writers and hired the ones that wrote the comic books.
I don't watch movies for social commentary and I don't play games for social commentary. I do so for entertainment. Now my entertainment taste may be different than yours and that is where Mass Effect succeeds. The player doesn't have to be gay The player doesn't even need to romance. It's just there if you want it. However you want it. To really address this article would require more space than a comment section would allow. A lot of social issues are presented in the article that can't be addressed correctly over a website.
