@vince10damn actually, if you read the intro statement, you'll notice that both tests have been performed using HDMI at 720p and captured via the Matrox MXO2 mini, which is an excellent HD capture device (one of the best, below the $600 price mark). The results above show the difference in clarity and detail. Personally, I think I prefer the sharpness of the PS3 in a few of the images, even if the 360 shows greater attention to detail. And that's saying something considering I'm a 360 fan boy. (Although, I can't wait for GOW3 and I'm picking up Heavy Rain this week... These exclusives are doing a good job at swaying my loyalty!)

Hmm, I think that the 360's initial problems seem to be haunting them even though the problem has been resolved. The initial batches of the 360 had a 30.5% fail rate for the xenon boards. At present, the Elite and Arcades (pro being retired) all have the new jasper boards, which actually include 65nm GPU and CPU as opposed to the original xenon boards which utilised a 90nm gpu and cpu generating more heat with bad cooling. They also sport a smaller PSU which generates less heat with lower voltage. If you crack one of these new babies open, you'll see the optimised heatsinks with copper cooling pipes and the works. The Jaspers currently have a 3% general failure rate. Oddly enough though, the new PS3 slim is reported to have a 10% failure rate, above that of the original fail rate which sony reported at .5-1.5%. The original PS3 was great, why fix something that isn't broken? I've been through 2 360s since the launch, and my PS3 fat only died a few months ago (the BD packed up). I replaced it with a slim and have had nothing but problems- i'm now on my second ps3 slim after the first one suffered graphical glitched and freezing. So as for ha2304's post about the 360 being 3x more reliable, his figures are actually correct according to the new jasper boards vs the ps3 slims. actually, on average they are 3.33x more reliable than the ps3 slim. I love my ps3, I really do, but for me personally it's like the 360 and ps3 have swapped places. As for the rest of ha2304's post, most of that is just random crap which has no substance whatsoever.
