The Sega CD only has a very few gems. Sonic CD is one of them, but you can get it on Gamecube/Wii in one of the collections. Besides that, Snatcher and the Earthworm Jim Special Edition...everything else is better off passed on. Now if you want to have a console with some awful titles to show friends ONCE then I suppose its worth the money, but its a long way to go for a gag. I say save your money.

Wow, I can't believe my post is still active after all these months and on the first page. Looks like the legacy forum is nice and dead. Either way, that's cool that you "beat" it darkwraith. I think I played it on super easy and had like infinite magic, or maybe it was a cheat, but either way props to anyone who had the patience to even play it for more than a few hours. Honestly the controls were pretty awful and Chakan was pretty worthless as far as his attacks went thanks to poor hit detection. Even still, it was a decent game for the time.

Theme Park.

It was broken, it was a poor value and it was a completely out of date game that had far too many glitches. It is one of the few games I've returned I was so angry with it. The controls were difficult and the interface was terrible. It seems the only people who really loved it were those who got the nostalgia kick out of it.

Pirate at work and then a faceless ghoul to scare kids. Yep, it was fantastic. Happy Halloween and all that

Iquite enjoyed it. Its just mindless fun and its good to discover all the clever things you can do in the downloadable maps !

Which you must all pay far too much for. Don't forget, the game only starts with one to two maps.

Monster Party - Loved this game as a kid, but never realized until the posting by sydlexia.com that it was so disturbing. You're a boy, with a bat who turns into a flying creature when he finds pills and you collect keys through a linear level to unlock the final door. Oh and apparently the world turns into some bloody, evil mess for no reason halfway through the first level. Looking back I can't believe I gave this no thought when I was 9 years old.

Little Nemo: The Dream Master - Based on the the movie, based on the weekly comic from 1910. Platformer where you have no powers except to throw candy at monsters to stun them, or make it and then change into them like some sorta bad halloween costume. Most people couldn't get past the stage 3 train level, but still a fun game.

Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers - Pretty good 2 player co-op platformer. You pick up stuff and throw it at other stuff. Decent difficulty.

Here's a speed run of the game in 10 minutes.

[QUOTE="-Murdock-"]

Alot of small game shops now sell consoles that play both Genesis and SNES games for the same price you'd pay for a used one of each. It's worth a look.

nintendofan897

i looked at getting this but i couldn't trust 3rd party ps: doesnt this play nes and snes.

Possibly. I've seen ones that play everything. Again, I don't know what Nintendo and Sega think of this hardware. For like..$50 it can't really hurt to give it a shot, better than buying each console.
