A great package of 2 great games.

User Rating: 8.3 | Power Stone Collection PSP
Power Stone 1 and 2 were both released for the Sega Dreamcast a number of years back. They were both thought of as great mulitplayer games due to the amount chaos during the fights. Many people (including myself) have memories of sitting around a TV for hours playing 4 player matches of Power Stone 2, or going through the Story and adventure modes to unlock new items.

In Power Stone, you go through the game in 1 on 1 matches, fighting opponents until the final boss. There is not much else to the game other than that, but it is still a lot of fun going through the game to unlock the secret characters and items. If you have a friend willing to play multiplayer with you, then it definitely adds a lot more to the ackage but if not you will probably have fun with Power Stone 2. In Power Stone 2, you are still able to go through the game and fight until the final boss, but the main difference, is that this game allows up to 4 players fighting at once. With 4 players, this game gets downright hectic, but in a very good way. It is very hard not to like this game when going up against 3 opponents. It supports teams and difficulty levels, so you can play however you want. This version also includes all of the extras from the Dreamcast versions, such as the item mixer, which lets you mix items that youve acquired in the adventure mode to create new, more powerful items. If you could not find enough lasting value with the first Power Stone game, you will find a lot to do in Power Stone 2.

Both of these games keep the same look and sound as the Dreamcast games, and while it doesnt exactly push the PSP hardware to its limits, the visuals are still nice to look at, and the sound effects keep you tied into the action. When these games were released, they retailed at $50 each, but this package is only $30, giving it a great value, considering the rarity of these games and the inflated prices on auction sites such as Ebay.

So in conclusion, Power Stone Collection is a great buy for brawler fans, and Power Stone fans alike. This package shows great remakes of 2 great games, and gives a fantastic value at a $30 price tag.
