Pokemon Colosseum is a very nice Pokemon game on the Gamecube, but it is on the short side.

The good parts of this game is the gameplay, in this game you have the same kind of gameplay you would have in any pokemon game, you go around random towns, getting pokemon, chasing the bad guys down and saving the world from a takeover of something terrible about pokemon, its mainly the same. The pokemon are very memorable, you see pokemon like Bayleef, Quilava, Croconaw, Tyranitar, Metagross, and many more pokemon. This game added something interesting called Shadow Pokemon, where if you encounter one, you have a chance to catch it and then take its shadow meter down all the way by battling with it then you purify it, then it becomes the original pokemon, its quite a long process. There are many shadow pokemon to catch, there are a total of 48 shadow pokemon to capture and over half of those pokemon are at least decent to really awesome pokemon like Absol, Houndoom, the 3 legendary dogs, and many more pokemon. If you can be patient enough and get your pokemon and go to a place call Mt. Battle and defeat every trainer there using the pokemon you got on the game, you can get a free Ho-Oh, it will be level 70 and its a really nice gift. One thing that is really interesting on this game is the connectivity, if you really want to put a good pokemon that you got onto pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, LeafGreen, or FireRed, after you beat the game and after you purify that pokemon, you can grab your GCN/GBA cord and connect and put that pokemon in your game.

The bad parts of this game is the length, for a beginner, you may only be able to beat it in maybe 10 hours and maybe for an expert player, they may be able to beat in about 6 hours and that is it. The depth into this game is not really deep, all you do is go around catch Shadow Pokemon and beat the final boss and you are done, that is all there is to it. The pokemon, yea they are good, but i think Nintendo is choosing your team for you, if you start a new game, the pokemon wont change no matter what the first pokemon to the last is always the same.

Overall this game is very nice game for the gamecube, there are many pokemon to collect and the adventuring is pretty decent.
