While I have been playing console games on and off for many years, I have never really ventured into the world of online multiplayer so it was with reservation that I decided to buy this guy. What tipped me over the edge was the recommendation from the guy in EB Games combined with the very low price compared to just about every other Xbox one game. Yes I know it's their job to sell stuff, but it feels like they genuinely want the customer to be happy.
No offline mode, but I knew that from the start and it doesn't bother me.
Well lets just say I have very much enjoyed playing, even if I don't feature very high up the scoreboard at the end of a game. There are generally plenty of people playing to get a decent size game going and the variety between the characters (both Plants and Zombies) is excellent.
I found the controls very easy, the gameplay while presumably similar to many other shooter games, is smooth and great fun with the vibrant colours. There are enough upgrades and customization options to keep you entertained for many hours.
