Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Online is not WoW, but for casual gamers it offers a safer environment to play online. The current setup that is released on the open server has many places that appear to have some significance, and hints at much larger story lines than have currently been released. The tutorial and starting cutscenes alone introduce us to Jolly Roger, who is after Jack Sparrow and warns you from the first moment you start tell him Im coming for him. Tia Dalma then tells you the first step is to free the Black Pearl, for without the Pearl all is lost. The current game ends with the rescue of the pearl, but along the way of completing the quest you will see many many people that appear to have no real use yet. Best of all, the game can be played for free. Yes, there is limited access to what you can do, but you can still try the game risk free to get a feel for it.
The game is still in its early stages, so before judgements are made, i would give it some time, as they are tweaking the aspects of the game regularly. For anyone who is a fan of the Disney series, I would recommend trying this. For anyone expecting this to fall into a timeline with the movies, it wont. You can find more information out on the game by checking on wikki or even checking out the guild POForums.
