This game is really fun. It takes a little while to get used to the controls but once you have it down and you see yourself tearing through bad guys like butter, it is quite enjoyable. I'm having a hard time trying to decide if it is a game worth keeping forever or just a pass and trade game.
Olimar is a funny hero who is quite likable as he has funny sayings and is a family man at heart.
The game consists of you growing these creatures called "Pikmin" named after Olimar's favorite Pikpik carrots. Once grown they can evolve to having a bud or a flower on their heads. Once fully evolved they move faster and attack faster.
There are also three types of Pikmin. Red ones are flame resistant and the best ground team fighters. Yellows are light so they can be thrown on high ledges, they also can carry rock-bombs to blow up stone walls. Finally the Blue Pikmin have gills so they can swim underwater where the other Pikmin drown while making really pathetic sounds.
You go around using these Pikmin to find your missing ship parts. The catch is you only have 30 days to do it! So you have to keep moving at a frantic pace so you don't have to breathe that deadly oxygen.

BEST GAMING MOMENT: Getting all 30 ship parts in 24 days.

WORST GAMING MOMENT: Having to start the whole game over after day 9 because I realized that I was sucking at this game.

FINAL JUDGEMENT: It's safe to say this game probably can't be rented. I would suggest buying it for the 25 bucks used and passing it and then trading it right back. It only takes 9 hours to pass and then you can move on with your life. It's a good 9 hours unlike games that take 20 hours to pass and they end up sucking.
