Picross 3-D is an addicting puzzle game in which you destroy number blocks to reveal the object. If the row has a zero, you destroy that whole row. If it were to have a one, then somewhere in that line of X amount of blocks, is one that must stay. The game teaches you with it`s vast tutorial level on how to figure this out.
Ex. The line has four blocks but has the number three pasted on each block. This means out of those four there are three that have to remain. Picross does a good job at showing you the little tricks or short cuts you can take to help solve which needs to go. It becomes common knowledge of which two are definitely going to stay. As you progress new numbers functions are added to the mix, such as a two with a circle around it. This means there is two squares in the row but they can not be touching.

The game has a lot of puzzle to play with the inclusion of free downloadable ones from Nintendo and Contests that are held each month. Each contest has a theme where users are able to submit their user created puzzles. After they are judged, the winners puzzles become downloadable.

This game would have got a little higher review but the Nintendo Theme is missing.Mario's Picross was the first title in the series. They should have named it Mario's 3-D Picross if they wanted it to sell more.I would of liked to see cameos here and there like Tetris Ds. Picross 3-d is a must have title for the casual player and those that love using brain power. It would be nice to see a new Picross game come out with more features, music and avatar. Seeing the duck every puzzle on the top screen can become rather annoying as well as the recycled songs over and over.
